192,506. Metcalfe, A. E. Nov. 8, 1921. Chain wrenches.- A pipe wrench, comprising a handle a, a chain d' secured bv links d to the handle and hooks c adapted to engage the extended pins e of the chain links when the chain is passed round a pipe and between the links d, is formed with a curved surface a<z> at the inner end of the handle whereby two projections are formde, one or other of which together with the curved surface, engages the chain according to the direction in which the pipe is to be turned. The hooks c are formed on plates b, b<1> riveted to the end of the handle and formed with a curved surface corresponding to that at the end of the handle. The links d are pivoted to the member a by a rivet passing through the links, the plates b, b<1> and the handle. Specifications 10175/98, 30030/13, and 102,399 are referred to.
