Abstract

259,053. Ellis, J. F. Nov. 4, 1925. Chain strainers.-A hook suitable for connecting the ends of anti-skid chains for motor-car wheels comprises a parallel-sided outer member 10 formed by bending a metal sheet about the lower edge and having a hook formed at one end 11; a looking member 17 is pivoted to the hook at 18 and has a hole 19 which, in the closed position, registers with inwardly projecting bulges 16 on the member 10. The chain is attached by a pin 20.
