Abstract

264,314. Hillback, E. W. Jan. 8, 1926. Hooks, spring.-In a snaphook particularly applicable as a perambulator brake of the kind having two S-shaped members 9, 10 pivoted together, the ends of the members remote from the jaws have inwardly extending pins 13 on which a coil spring 14 is mounted. The members are pivoted at their ends on a pin 4. The members have intermediate recesses 6 forming shoulders 8 to limit the opening movement and recesses 11 at their ends for interengagement. The recesses 11 and 6 may be on opposite sides of the member. In a modification for use on a dog-lead the arm 17 is straight so that an eye may be formed in a central position on the bent arm 16.
