Abstract

286,525. Weiss, B. June 14, 1927. Coat and like hangers. -A garment hanger comprises a yoke and a pair of pivoted arms for holding the garment in place, the arms being raised to release the garment by the depression of finger pieces against spring pressure; the hook is also provided with a spring closing-member. The pivoted arms 11, Fig. 1, furnished with pads 12, are mounted in a metal housing 16 and are depressed to hold the garment by means of a spring 37, Fig. 2. The ends of the arms are engaged by a sliding member 30 which, when depressed, frees the arms and is held in its lower position by a spring catch 34. The entrance to the hook 24 is closed by a gate 21 mounted on a spring 20 and capable of swinging either inwards or outwards.
