Abstract

220,440. Morris, H., and Butterworth, J. A. July 23, 1923. Hooks.-Relates to means for attaching chains to lifting-hooks &c. of the kind wherein the hook &c. has two projecting portions between which the last link in the chain is secured by means of an oval pin, and which are shaped to accommodate also the end of the penultimate link of the chain. According to the invention, the two projecting portions 3 are integral with the hook &c. 1 and are recessed at shown at 3<1> for the purpose stated.
