Hooks, spring, safety, slip, and closed.-In hooks of the kind having an aperture 3 in one side adapted to be closed by a T-shaped member 2 the stem 6 of which has a bifurcated end 7 adapted to embrace the opposite side of the link at 4, the member 2 is detachably secured in position by a pin or bolt fitted at the bifurcated end of the member. The bolt 11<a> may comprise a spring-actuated catch, an aperture 12 being provided to enable this to be pressed back by means of a special tool to facilitate uncoupling. The arm 8 of the member 2 are shaped to lock with the: link to support tensional strains.
