Abstract

246,122. Soc. Anon. des Anciens Etablissements Panhard et Levassor. Jan. 19, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 228,524. Direct air pressure apparatus, non-automatic. -According to the parent Specification, in a pressure fuel feeding device for internalcombustion engines, a fluid-tight chamber communicates with the discharge pipe of the fuel tank, the inlet end of the pipe being provided with a clack valve, so that a reserve of fuel for starting &c. is always available in the chamber. According to the invention, the clack valve 7 is situated at any suitable point on the discharge pipe 6 outside the tank 1 so that it is readily accessible, the fluid-tight chamber 4 being situated either in the tank 1, directly above the valve 7, or on the discharge pipe 6 between the valve 7 and the carburettor 9.
