Abstract
242.651. Waggon-und Maschinenbau Akt.-Ges. G÷rlitz. Nov. 5, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-Fuel is distributed uniformly in an irregularly shaped combustion chamber by producing jets of various strengths and at different inclinations according to the position of the various parts of the chamber and the lengths of the free paths of the jets. The combustion chamber is formed by a cavity in the cylinder cover e which is provided with hollows f, g, and by a trough-shaped cavity h with bevelled portions i, k in the piston. The nozzle l has bores of different inclinations and diameters, the latter being in proportion to the length of the path that the jet has to traverse. Thus the bore of greatest diameter will be that producing the jet a. In a modification two such nozzles are employed, and are preferably arranged in the plane of the longest dimension of the chamber.
