Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-Two or more fluid-pressure-actuated injectors are mounted in the cylinder head and brought into operation successively when, with increase of engine load, the pressure of the fuel supply rises. The pistons on the spraying valves upon which the fuel pressure acts are of different diameters determined bv the pressure at which it is desired that each valve shall open. A single closing spring device may be used for all the valves.
