Inductances.-In making inductance coil and like cores of compressed powdered magnetic material and an insulating binder such as colophony, the whole or a part of the binder is mixed with the magnetic powder before compression, and, after compression, the binder is melted by heating so as to cause it to take the form of a thin film between the particles of magnetic material, or further binding material is added by impregnation.
