237,889. Levy, L. R. July 29, 1925, [Convention date]. Stationary batch-mixers with rotary stirrers.- .A mixing and dough-kneading machine comprises a rotating cylindrical or stationary hemi-spherical trough in which freely mounted rollers carried on radial arms are rotated, a central cylinder being provided which is of relatively large diameter and leaves a small clearance between itself and the rollers. In the form shown the central cylinder is omitted and the hemi-spherical trough 1 in which are rotated the beater, consisting of rollers 5, 6 mounted on arms 7, is tiltably mounted for discharging. The central cylinder may be driven oppositely to the beaters. The rollers 5, 6 may be mounted in slots in the arms 7 under spring influence. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect 91 (3) (a), the central cylinder may be omitted or replaced by a paddle. 'This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
