739,982. Roller-and-ring mills; chocolate conches. KNOPS, F., THOUET, J., and KNOPS, R., [trading as THOUET KOMM.- GES., J.]. April 20, 1954 [Dec. 3, 1953], No. 11386/54. Classes 59 and 86. A rotary grinding machine for chocolate and similar masses comprises a horizontal cylindrical container 1 having coaxially mounted therein a rotor consisting of two turnstiles, each formed of arms 6, 7 and a rim 8, fixed on the rotor shaft 9, the rotor being provided with equally-spaced kneading and conveying plates 10 connecting the rims with each other, with adjustable spring-urged grinding drums 11 journalled in the ends of the arms 6, and with spring-urged scraper blades for removing material from the inner surface and end walls of the container. Supplementary kneading and disintegrating means are provided by bars 14 arranged between the arms 6, 7 of the turnstiles at different distances from the shaft 9. The container is provided with a de- µrator box 4 and with a ventilator 5 for introducing fresh air into the container. The lower part of the container is surrounded by a heated water bath 16.
