302,031. Burn, J. F., and Lancaster, J. S. Nov. 14, 1927. Stationary mixers with rotary stirrers.-A concrete &c. mixer comprises a horizontal drum in which rotate helical blades mounted on adjustable radial arms and fitted with adjustable tips or spades having tapering noses. The blades H, H<1>, of opposite pitch, are carried by arms F, F<1> adjustably mounted in collars E, E<1> adjustably secured by set screws V to the shaft B. The tips K, K<1> comprising wedge-shaped members with their edges pointing in the direction of rotation, are adjustably mounted, on the projecting ends of the arms F, F<1>, similar members P being mounted at intermediate points. The tapering faces of the tips are concave and the outer surfaces t slope backwardly.
