Abstract

PURPOSE:To mix and to stir all kinds of fluid completely, by rotating in opposite directions two stirring blades attached in the cylinder body of a line type stirrer to the same shaft face to face. CONSTITUTION:The fluid to be agitated flows through an inlet 2 into a cylinder body 1 and passes to an outlet 3. During that time the fluid undergoes stirring and shearing action by a stirring blade 9. The fluid discharged from the stirring blade 9 undergoes once again violent stirring and shearing action by a stirring blade 8 which rotates in a direction contrary to, and at the same speed as, that of the blade 9. The fluid undergoes further impace by buffer plate 12, 13 to attain complete stirring, and flows out through the outlet 3. Use of the stirring blade 8 of variable rotation speed in accordance with the property of the fluid to be stirred makes it possible to carry out mixing in extensive range.
