Abstract

234,844. Compagnie GÚnÚrale de TÚlÚ- graphie sans Fil. June 2, 1924, [Convention date]. Vacuum tubes. - The filament L and its leads are mounted on a doubly re-entrant glass tube D having a portion extending beyond the main contour of the bulb, and a cylindrical anode A is mounted on another tube B, the valve being formed by welding the two tubes together, for instance at C. A metal tube F, carrying one of the filament supports, is welded to a bent part of the tube D, and the anode is welded to the other tube B, the joints I, H being of the kind described in Specifications 223,933 and 231,824. A rod G, spaced inside the tube F, carries the other filament support, and is mounted by means of a joint J of the type described in Specification 215,475. The grid O is carried by collars R, S mounted on the tube D. During the welding operation the tubes B, D are mounted on guides to ensure automatic centring.
