Abstract

233,189. Brooks & Co., Ltd., J. B., and Lawrence, A. H. June 30, 1924. Saddles, more particularly for use as pillion seats to be attached to the carrier &c. of a motor-cycle, are provided with a rigid underframe 5, 6 having an upwardly directed front part 10, to which the peak of the saddle top 1 is secured at an adjustable height to provide for variations in the tilt of the saddle top. The rear portion 5 of the underframe is of elliptical form, and is provided with slots 7 in which are adjustably mounted clips 9 to be clamped to the bars of the carrier. The rear of the saddle top may be supported on springs 2. The peak is provided with a longitudinal strap provided with a sleeve 13 pivotally engaging an horizontal bolt secured by adjustable clips 16 to the part 10 of the underframe, distance pieces being mounted on the bolt between the sleeve 13 and the clips 16. The upper part 21 of the front of the underframe forms a hand-grip.
