Abstract
The residue from the burning of cupriferous pyrites is divided, magnetically or otherwise, into portions some of which can be leached directly with water or acid. Part or all of the portions which cannot be so leached are subjected to the usual chloridizing roast or are added to fresh pyrites and re-burnt therewith, the resulting residue being again divided and treated as above.
