Combined open fireplaces and cooking-stoves; feeding and stoking; boilers, arrangement of.-In a combination range comprising an open fireplace 1, an oven 7 at the side, a boiler 2 at the back, and a hot-plate 6 extending over the fireplace and oven, the gases which pass through the boiler flue -are led upwardly to the hot-plate and then laterally between it and the oven. In the range shown in Figs. 2, 3 the boiler flue 3 comprises horizontal and upwardlydirected portions leading to an inclined flue 4 which delivers the gases to the space 5 beneath the hot-plate 6, whence they pass laterally to the main flue 8. One of the hot-plate covers 16 is arranged above the top of the flue 4 to allow access for cleaning and also to allow fuel to be fed down the flue to the fire. In a modification, the boiler extends upwardly to form the grate back. In either form, the part of the boiler below the bottom of the flue may be replaced by fire-brick blocks. In the form shown in Fig. 6, the boiler is provided with a recess 23 in the rear face and is supported on a block 24 having a recess 25 in the upper face, the flue being formed by the recesses.
