Magneto-electric machines.-In ignition magnets wherein the high-tension terminal is located coaxially with the ends of a rotary wound armature, one end of the armature is wholly or in part formed by a moulding of insulating material b, and the adjacent end-cover portion d is detachable and also consists of moulded insulating material, the ball bearing h, i being located between these parts. The outer bearing ring i slidably engages a metal ring j moulded into the armature part b, and the inner ring h is mounted on the metal terminal piece e in the end cover, connection with the armature winding being made through a carbon brush g and stud c.
