Conductors.-Squirrel-cage rotor bars are connected to the short-circuiting rings by forming an annular recess c<1> in each ring C adapted to house the ends of the bars B with clearances around them, tinning the surfaces of the recess and of the bars, and filling the interstices between the bars and between the walls of the recess and the bars with molten soft solder, or like metal. The rings C are adjustably connected to the end rings a<1> of the rotor body by screws D provided' with lock-nuts d<2> and locking-washers d<3>.
