Casings; brushes; brush-holders. -In a horn of the type in which a stud 13 on the diaphragm 4 is struck by a rotating cam 11 o n the shaft 10 of an electric motor, the casing 1 is of magnetic iron and constitutes the carcase of the motor, the poles 2, 2a, being of unequal length and the longer carrying a single field coil 8. The brush-holders 26 and terminals 26<a> are carried in a single insulator 25, and contact is made between the brushes 27 and the holders by a copper wire 31 with a washer at each end. Lubrication is effected bv means of an oil pad 15 pressed against the shaft 10 and by means of a cavity 21 in the bush 18 which is filled with grease, a ring 22 in a groove 23 holding the shaft in the bush and preventing escape of grease.
