Abstract
555,235. Conductors for dynamo-electric machines. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and NICHOL, J. May 8, 1942, No. 6216. [Class 35] Where two conductor bars 10, 11 are to be connected to the same commutator segment 1, instead of connecting them both to the lug 1a as in the usual method, the conductor 10 is bent up so as to lie against conductor 11 and is secured thereto, the conductor 11 being connected to the lug 1a as usual. In this way both connections become equally accessible. An insulating shield 1e is supported by additional lugs 1c of full segment width. The connections may be made by brazing, as in Specification 549,503, soldering or welding.
