Abstract
1,038,026. Electric coils. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE. Oct. 1, 1963 [Oct. 11, 1962], No. 38573/63. Heading H1P. In a flat electrical winding assembly formed of bare lamellar conductors A, B extending flat on both faces of a thin insulating support 4 intended to be used in a magnetic field substantially normal to such faces, eddy currents are reduced without increasing the assembly thickness by dividing each conductor over at least part of its length into partial conductors 6 . . . 9 which are so mutually arranged that at least portions thereof belonging to the same conductor extend on opposite support faces, and electrically interconnecting the partial conductors through the support. As shown, the partial conductors 6, 7, and 8, 9, are respectively on the front and rear faces of the support, and many other arrangements of lap and wave windings are disclosed, applicable to a stator or to a rotor with or without a commutator.
