Abstract
852,676. Conductors for dynamo-electric machines. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Jan. 1, 1959 [Jan. 11, 1958], No. 24/69. Class 35. Circulating currents induced at the end loops of a Roebel-transposed stator winding are eliminated by not soldering together the two groups of part conductors at each coil end loop as is usual, but insulating the groups from each other at all or some of the end loops and crossing over the connections between the two groups of part-conductors at least once in each phase to secure a displacement by 180 degrees of one phase part with respect to one another. Some of the ends of the Roebel-bars 3, 4 and 5, 6 are normally interconnected at their ends by conducting rings 7, 8, as shown in Fig. 1, but at least one end connection is made by means of the crossed-over connectors shown in Fig. 2. The part-conductors may be insulated and crossed at one end of the machine but all soldered together at the other.
