Abstract
966,588. Dynamo-electric machines having planar airgaps and printed windings. SOC. D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATISME. Aug. 3, 1961 [Aug. 3, 1960], No. 28305/61. Heading H2A. In a two-face printed circuit winding, for an electrical rotating machine having a flat annular air-gap between a discoidal rotor and stator, comprising two sets of half-turn conductors secured on to the opposite annular faces of an insulating disc-shaped carrier and inter-connected by face-to-face connections 20, 21 to complete the winding pattern, part of each halfturn conductor has extending along it a slot 22 filled with magnetic material. The winding may be lap wound as shown, or series wave wound, and its middle portion 23, 24 may be inclined or curved. The magnetic material may be insulating or conductive and in embodiments is formed from iron rings or colloidal iron. The Specification describes methods of making the winding, and types of machines in which it may be used. Specifications 919,237, 931,654 and 948,923 are referred to.
