Abstract

965,984. Securing coils for dynamo-electric machines. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. Sept. 20, 1962 [Sept. 25, 1961], No. 35850/62. Heading H2A. An end-winding support device 1 for an electrical machine, e.g. a motor, comprises an annular member 2 from whose inner and outer peripheries extend a plurality of arms 3, 4, capable at least partially of embracing the end winding 12 to secure the member to the latter. The device may be of either magnetic or non- magnetic metal, e.g. punched sheet metal or wire, and covered with a surface layer of deformable, e.g. electrically insulating, material. The arms may be resilient and preshaped to the winding contour, or corrugated, or extended to form partial closures of the winding slots, or fastened together by e.g. hook and eye connections.
