Abstract
1,029,798. Dynamo-electric machine windings. SOC. D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATISME. Sept. 20, 1963 [Sept. 20, 1962], No. 37101/63. Heading H2A. An electrical rotating machine printed-circuit armature winding comprises more than two separate layers 103, 104 and 105, 106 of halfturn conductors interconnected to form a single wave winding. Although alternatively applicable to cylindrical air-gap machines the invention is shown applied to a flat annular air-gap machine wherein the pairs of layers are secured to insulating carrier sheets 101, 102 and then secured together by a film adhesive insulating layer 100, brushes 109 bearing against at least one face to supply or collect current; the winding is mounted between magnetic polepiece sets 107, 108 or alternatively one such set and a yoke. Each layer has an identical series-wave pattern but the conductor orientation of alternate layers is reversed, and layer interconnections are made by hole metallizations at the inner and outer peripheries of the winding. The interconnections between the axially innermost layers 104, 105 are made in steps via subdivided terminal zones on the outermost layers 103, 106.
