Abstract

1,140,113. Transformer windings. C. A. PARSONS & CO. Ltd. 28 July, 1967 [8 Aug., 1966], No. 35419/66. Heading H1T. An insulated conductor for a winding comprises two or more mutually insulated columns of bare conductor strands 1<SP>1</SP> separated by insulated conductor strands 1<SP>11</SP>. The strands 1<SP>1</SP> may be separated by pairs of strands 1<SP>11</SP> (Fig. 3, not shown), and the strands may be transposed so that each strand changes its position at intervals along the conductor length. The strands 1<SP>11</SP> may be enamelled and the insulation 3 may be tape.
