Abstract
219,759. Ferneyhough, J. May 10, 1923. Reinforced concrete.-A reinforcement of the type comprising upper and lower planes of longitudinal and transverse rods has two series a, b of continuous undulatory ties positioned diagonally relatively to the rods and provided at the upper and lower apices with loops or eyes through which the rods are threaded. The rods and crossing points o are shown displaced, but actually one series is directly vertically over the other. The points o may be secured and interconnected ; some rods may consist of a group of bars where extra strength is required, or certain rods may be omitted when the framework is to be stronger in one direction than in the other. The invention is applicable to floors, roads, walls, roofs, platforms, rafts, &c.
