Abstract

[Also in Division D1] A lattice girder for the reinforcement of slab-form concrete units, comprises a steel mat (Fig. 1, not shown) of which the transverse rods 2 are bent to form a cage-like structure, open on one side, having, e.g. a triangular cross-section, and of which the longitudinal rods 1 form the lower boom, and longitudinal rods 3 of a steel mat strip (Fig. 2 not shown) disposed in the region of the tap of the bent transverse rods 2 form the upper boom, while the transverse rods 4 of the steel mat strip, are disposed in parallel pairs, the rods of each pair embracing between them one of the bent transverse rods 2 of the steel mat, and the steel mat strip being secured against upward displacement relatively to the cage-like structure. As shown, the strip is secured by a plug rod 13 having a hook 15 at one end. In another embodiment the mat is bent into a trapezoidal cross-sectional form (Fig. 5, not shown) and rod 13 is replaced by a strip (Fig. 3, not shown) consisting of two parallel longitudinal rods interconnected by a zig-zag rod.
