Abstract

217,666. Jackson, A. B. March 23,1923. Combined aerating and bottling apparatus; forcing gas into liquid.-Apparatus for containing liquids in bottles to be supported on a gas cylinder is provided with adjustable supports to suit cylinders of different sizes. The bottle is held in a frame a between a spring-pressed lever e and an elastic washer g. The frame a is supported at its lower end on the gas-cylinder C by means of projections u which can be adjusted by means of screws. The washer g is mounted on an inclined projection i on a head k which is adjustably connected to the outlet of the gas bottle by a screwed tube q terminating in a seating q', against which works a valve q<6> sliding in a perforated tube q<4>. A spring-controlled relief-valve v and a manuallyoperated relief-valve are provided. The gas enters the bottle through a tube o mounted on a flexible tube n and terminating in a nozzle p formed of a closed tube with holes p<3> and special grooves p<6>, Fig. 4, surrounded by a sleeve p<5> with a bevelled edge p<6>.
