Abstract
188,802. Sager, E. E., and Aschenbrenner, C. F. Aug. 22, 1921. Combined aerating and bottling apparatus; injector apparatus; mixing- apparatus.-A device for aerating and dispensing liquids comprises a storage chamber from which the liquid and gas pass through an injector device and through tubes outside the chamber containing mixing-appliances to nozzles for delivering the aerated liquid to bottles or siphons. The storage chamber 2 consists of a cylinder open at its lower end, the lower edge fitting into a groove 4 in the base 1 of the apparatus provided with packing 5. Water and gas inlets and a vent pipe 42 are controlled by valves 28, 31, 47 in the base. The gas enters through an arched pipe 35, the end of which projects into a perforated stand pipe 37 forming an injector from which the water and gas pass to tubes 10 arranged at the sides of the container 2 and containing perforated convex discs 48. The lower ends of the tubes 10 are screwed on to bosses on the base 1 and the upper ends pass through bosses 7 on the chamber 2, so that screwed caps 13 on the tubes 10 compress the packing 5. The caps 13 are provided with valves 15, and to one is secured a goose-neck 17 with a seating 18 for filling bottles. To the other cap 13 is secured a hinged arm 23 with a seating 24 by which the nozzle of a siphon can be pressed against a seating 21 surrounding a nozzle 20.
