285,257. Powley & Sons, Ltd., R., and Powley, M. Feb. 28, 1927. Moving - chamber apparatus.-Relates to filling nozzles for bottling machines, of the type provided with an escape tube for air and froth and having a measure cup which is normally immersed in the liquid in the tank, and which when lifted above the liquid by a rising bottle against the action of a spring delivers its contents through a valve &c. which is simultaneously opened. According to the invention the vent pipe i passes through the charging tube f and the lower end of the vent pipe enters the bottles when it is raised for filling, while the upper end extends above the measure cup band discharges therein to ensure that the bottle receives the full contents of the cup.
