Ammonia, distilling.- Ammoniacal liquors are supplied by pipes G<1> to a number of stills A, through which the same body of steam, admitted by a pipe H<1>, is passed in succession, the steam being deprived of its content of ammonia by passage through saturators B arranged between each still. The liquors are then treated for the removal of fixed ammonia in a liming-chamber C and a still D receiving a separate supply of steam from a pipe H<2>. The hot waste liquors pass to a, feed-water heater; the steam from the last saturator is used for preheating the ammoniacal liquors.
