Convention date, April 17, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 55 (i).] In the recovery of waste heat from industrial gases, particularly water gas, by passage of the gases into a flash boiler, the steam from which is delivered to a heat conserving body of water as described in Specification 333,472, [Class 55 (i), Coking &c.], the boiler is replaced by a checker-filled chamber 16 and the flow of hot gases into the chamber from the inlet pipe 18 is in the same direction as the flow of water on to the hot checkerwork. In a modification, the heat accumulator 26 may be dispensed with.
