Abstract

Spent material containing ferric hydrate, from gas-works after the removal of sulphur and other impurities is mixed with sulphur, liquefied in containers, and then cast in moulds. The articles have a bronze-like appearance. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that other materials containing ferric hydrate, e.g. iron ores, may be employed in place of the spent purifying material from gas-works. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
