Briquetting and agglomerating processes.-In a process for briquetting or agglomerating ores, and other pulverized meltable materials, of the kind in which iron is used as a binding material, the iron is used in a finely-ground condition which may be in the form of finely ground grey cast iron borings, is added to the material to be agglomerated, and the mixture is moistened with water and pressed into briquettes which are allowed to rust in the presence of air. The weight of iron required is from 3 per cent to 5 per cent of the weight of the ore. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that magnesium chloride or other salt or acid may be added, and preferably cellulose lye. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
