Briquetting processes.-Ores and products containing ferric oxide, such as purple ore, burnt pyrites, &c., are mixed with not more than 6 per cent, preferably 2-3 per cent, of burnt lime, pressed into briquettes, and hardened by steam; or fine ores or concentrates may be mixed with purpLe ore, burnt pyrites or other burnt iron products, and with small amounts of burnt lime, briquetted, and hardened by steam. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 9610/98, 7878/99; and 21880/02, 15188/03, and 28019/04, [all in Class 72, Iron &c.].
