Abstract
214,437. A.M.A.C., Ltd., and Guy, W. L. April 3, 1923. Spray carburettors.-The body is of inverted T-shape, air passing along the part Z, Land the part A containing a throttle valve. The invention consists in fitting, concentric with the part A, a fixed ported tube B which is surrounded by a tubular throttle valve E and encloses a plug valve G, the lower end of a piece J filling the lower end of the tube B being so shaped that, when the throttle valve is fully open, the interior of the passage Z, L will be of streamline, Venturi or similar form. The tube 13 is kept in correct position by a pin and is slotted on one side above the port B<4> to receive a lug E<2> on the tubular throttle valve, which lug projects also into a slot G<2> in the plug valve. The filling piece J which contains the fuel orifices and may be replaced by others of different shape and with different size orifices, is held in position by a nut D bearing against the flange of a plug M.
