Self-lubricating compositions.-The shaft of the rotor of a rotary compressor for refrigerating machines is fitted with a slidable steel sleeve having a hemispherical end, forced by a spring into contact with a ring of self-lubricating compound made of a compressed mixture of graphite, copper and antimony. The ring is held in place by a fibre packing member retained by a cap.
