Abstract
210,393. Radcliff, S., and Garrod, A. J. Jan. 24, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Vacuum tubes. - Electrode supports are secured in tubular sockets which are embedded in the pinch and connected by leading-in wires with the terminals of a valve. The sockets J, K may be of nickel and are squeezed on to the supports as shown at S. The filament 0 is clamped at the lower end in a bent wire T fixed to a stud U inserted in the socket K, and at the other end is connected through a spring P with a support R mounted in the socket J. A bent support W is secured' to the anode w by means of a sleeve L and by bending over the flattened end X to engage with the wrapped ends of the anode. The frame v of a grid electrode is supported in a similar manner. The lower ends of the anode and grid rest on the bent portions of the supports.
