Abstract
206,521. Bischof, B. Nov. 6, 1922, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In a twostroke engine having a stepped piston 1, 4 and started by steam acting on the part 4 on the side nearest the crank-shaft, the steam may be generated by the waste heat of the engine, for re-starting after a short standstill, and part of the steam may actuate a compressor supplying air to the fuel injector 7. Scavenging air, compressed in the space above the part 4, is heated by the steam and warms the cylinder 2, thus facilitating starting.
