Abstract

Cleansing-compositions for removing grease from cloth &c comprise an alkaline solution, such as sodium bicarbonate in water, an acid solution containing two different salts, such as aluminium sulphate and ferric chloride, dissolved in water, and a foam-forming ingredient. The latter may consists of a mixture of glue, licorice, and saponin added to the alkaline or acid solution or to both. The alkaline solution preferably contains sodium carbonate in addition to sodium bicarbonate. Glycerine may be added to both solutions.
