Abstract

Stroke, varying; regulating delivery by closing suction valves and by varying speed of motor.- Rotary and reciprocating pumps are regulated according to the pressure of the delivery liquid by means of a piston 14 exposed at opposite ends to the delivery and suction conduits 20, 19 and adapted to be moved against an adjustable spring 21 to restrict the suction conduit. According to the Provisional Specification, the pump may be regulated by means of a spring- pressed piston exposed to the delivery pressure and connected to a switch or variable resistance in the electric circuit of the driving motor; and in the case of a swash-plate pump, the regulation is effected by the piston adjusting the inclination of the swash-plate.
