Abstract
203,121. Brown, S. G. July 6, 1922. Electromagnets. - The magnet of a telephone receiver is formed as a stamping with tongues which, when bent up constitute adjacent polepieces, the combined lengths of which are greater than the distance separating them. The magnet D may be of flat ring form, and the tongues d, Fig. 3, overlap each other, or the tongues d<1>, Fig. 5, may be parallel. The magnet may be of cross or other star form with the ends of the arms bent up to form pole-pieces and, in one form, Fig. 8, these pole-pieces may be in two concentric rings with a single winding E<1> between the rings.
