Abstract

199,643. Hall, A. E. Sept. 18, 1922. Spring wheels.-In a spring wheel in which a non-metallic member connects the rim to hub-carried discs, the non-metallic member is of laminated woven or fibrous material. The discs 12, 13, Fig 2, are riveted to a distance-piece 11, preferably of wood, which is held by bolts 17 against a flange 8 on the hub 7. The hub may also hold a brake-drum. The member 12, formed of overlapping parts in break-joint order as shown in Fig. 5, is clamped between the discs 12, 13 and between rings 21. Bolts 26 hold a rim 25 to the member 18.
