Clutches and speedvarying mechanism.-An hydraulic clutch and variable-speed gear comprises cylinders 5, crankoperated plungers 4, and a slidable control sleeve 8 with a tapered bore. In a modification, each cylinder is provided with a valve, controlled by a ring slidable on the cylinder block.
