Abstract

164,566. Hawkins, C. A. April 7, 1920. Clutches and speed-varying mechanism.- Hvdraulic transmission mechanism of the radial cylinder type comprises a cylinder block carried by the driving-shaft C and provided with two sets of cylinders, the pistons of which are provided with feet engaging clips on bearing blocks P<2>, M<2>. The block P<2> is mounted on a pin P<3> which is adjustable by means including a rod P<5> and lever P<7>, or by a piston R acted on by the pressure of the liquid. The block M2 is mounted on a crank-pin D<4> carried by the driven shaft D, which also carries a ported valve ring D<3>. A reservoir F for making up leakage is provided.
