Abstract

197,594. Anderson, A. E., (" X " Chair Patents Co.). Aug. 16, 1922. Folding nursery seats.-A folding chair of the nursery type comprises in combination an X- frame 10, 20, a folding seat 31, and a tray 50 pivoted to the top of the arms 11, 12 of the frame 10, and provided with arms 51, 52 supported at the rear by the arms 21, 22 of the frame 20. The arms 51, 52 carry a cross-bar 53 which has its front edge undercut to engage behind the bars 21, 22 when the seat is set up for use. A back-rest. 41, pivoted at 42, is supported by a bar 54 carried by the arms of the tray, the frame 40 of the backrest being recessed at 55 to engage the bar. A hook 56 may be provided to lock the back-rest in position, and a foot-rest may be fitted to the frame 20.
