To facilitate the manipulation of the chair, offstanding inclined arm-rests u are provided on the side frames g. The ends of the crossbolt c, which secures the stand members at their junction, project through the framing w of the canopy x, longitudinal slots w<1> being provided to give longitudinal as well as rotational adjustment about the cross-bolt.
